If you’re an architect, picking the right color means making a decision which will have consequences for decades. Valspar wanted to help architects make this important decision. We digitized a library of existing colors, so they could specify the exact shade they wanted. Then, we integrated the app with third-party hardware called the Node. Users could now instantly capture a color and send it to the Valspar lab. There, Valspar technicians would match their hue and apply it to a metal sample. The journey from inspiration to specification has never been easier.
